How to enable RUN option to the Start Menu of Windows7

We are used to with the RUN option of windows OS. We have used run command execute the desired program like we type CALC into Run option to open the Windows Calculator. Run command saves our time instead of find the specific program from the program list.

Run option was available in the start menu of the previous versions of windows OS. But RUN is not available in Windows 7.

 

You can set RUN to the Start Menu by following the below listed steps.

Step 1: First of all, you need to click on the Start button to open the start menu.Then make a right mouse click on the blank space of the start menu like the below image.

Step 2: A button named Properties will be appear to the mouse clicked place. You need to click on 

 the properties button to open the Task bar and Start Menu Properties form.

Step 3: You need to select the Start Menu tab and click on the Customize button. Customized Start

 

 Menu form will be appeared.

Step 4: Then just scroll down the options and check the Run Command option like below image and click on OK button.

Step 5: After that you need to click on the  Apply button and finally click to the OK button to close the Task bar and Start Menu Properties form.

Now, the Run option will appear in the start menu and you can use run command from here.
